Lindon is located just 10 minutes north of the Provo/Orem metro, which is home to Brigham Young University, with an enrollment of 33,000, and Utah State University, with an enrollment of 28,000. Both feed the whole metropolitan area’s ability to continue to grow and support a variety of startups and other businesses. In response to the rapid growth both cities are experiencing, in 2017 the Daily Herald described the Provo/Orem metro as “the seventh fastest growing area in the United States” and Forbes named Utah the best state in the nation for business. The Salt Lake City metro - along with the nearby cities Provo, Park City, and other surrounding areas - comprise a growing technology hub referred to as Silicon Slopes.
