Premier restaurants within walking distance include Bestia, Zinc, Officine Brera, Factory Kitchen, Urth Caffé, and Church & State. Urban Radish, the specialty foods market is located directly across Jesse, while breweries and retail are currently nearby and rapidly expanding. The live-work loft residences will range in size from approximately 600 to 1,300 square feet. All will enjoy ceiling heights in excess of 10 feet with floor-to-ceiling glass and industrial sash windows to maximize views and sunlight. Interiors are planned as large open spaces with contemporary galley kitchens and commercial-grade appliances. The building’s architecture will include recycled brick at the retail ground floor with blackened steel window frames and a large art mural. The rooftop pavilion will be all-glass with a floating wood-paneled ceiling featuring an array of natural materials, native trees and plantings. From a sustainability perspective, the design team is targeting LEED’s highest certification, Platinum. Shared amenities in the project will include a second-floor fitness center and residents’ lounge adjacent to a large roof-deck for indoor/outdoor exercise, weight training, yoga and dance. Private outdoor lounge areas, vegetation and fire-pits will populate the deck. The all-glass rooftop pavilion will include a sky-lounge and a private dining/meeting space which will anchor a broad roof deck including a 25 meter swimming pool, games and barbecue stations.
