DESCRIPTION
In 2001 the first owner, of the yet to be campground, purchased 20 acres and an old house built in the 1800's. He constructed the store/restaurant, a garage located next to the original house, a bathhouse, 15 electric sites, a yurt and cleared land for many primitive sites. Two houses, the store/restaurant, and the garages are located on the upper portion of the property. There is a newly resurfaced road that leads down into the campground, then through it and then back up on the other side to the upper portion of the property. The lower part of the property, which is where all the campers stay, is very nicely shaded and is on level ground. That lower part then gradually slopes down to the SAC river where there is a newly constructed beach area where canoes are launched and where the campers can swim and fish. The SAC river borders approximately 300 yards of the lower property. Its a gentle river which is great for floating, fishing and wading/swimming. There are 60 canoes and miscellaneous kayaks for rent.
