The City of Miami Beach recently hired Dover Kohl & Partners to produce a master plan for North Beach area of Miami Beach. Central to the plans is the 71 Street corridor. Located 1/2 a block from Vela Rouge, 71 Street serves as the focal point for North Beach and is earmarked as the hub of the proposed North Beach Town Center . Although plans have yet to be finalized, it is expected North Beach will form a new master plan with a town center concept that focuses on 71 Street with potential increasing height and FAR restrictions.
