PIKE MARINE is an established marina on the Essex River holding licenses issued under Chapter 91. The facility enjoys wet slip berthing and winter storage along the head of the Essex River conveniently located on Route 133 on the “Essex Causeway’s; Restaurant Row”. Pike Marine enjoys a 100% occupancy rate and keeps a waiting list of anxious boaters who wish to join the Pike Marine family. Its location on the Essex River attracts the beach goer as well as the fisherman and provides for easy access to The Great Marsh, Crane Beach, Ipswich Bay and the Annisquam River leading out to Stellwagen Bank in Mass Bay to the south. The waterways license, which has no expiration, allows for the usage of a bulkhead, travel lift, floats etc. for this recreational boating facility and to provides shoreline protection for its existing infrastructure. Berths are assigned upon vessel characteristics. Current berthing contracts for the exclusive use of berths have a term of one boating season (April 25 – October 15) and are renewed on an annual basis at the marina’s discretion. Longer lease arrangements are not prohibited under the waterways license. The marina has 51 wet slips for boats and 4 floats to accommodate personal watercraft. Slip customers also have the enjoyment of gathering on two decks that overlook the marina and river. The marina is set-up for full seasonal commissioning and decommissioning of power and sailboats with a predominately power boat clientele and enjoys a very active repair and maintenance service department which compliments new boat and new outboard engine sales. Pike Marine currently stores 40 plus boats in the off season. An EPA/DEP compliant wash down system is in place for the bottom pressure washing of boats as they are hauled for decommissioning services. The shop building allows for trailered boats to be brought inside for shrink wrapping services.
