Downtown Los Angeles is in the midst of an urban renaissance. Once a sleepy, nine-to-five downtown, the area has become a true 24-hour live/work/play destination in recent years. Every week, there is an announcement of a new restaurant or store opening. The neighborhood has seen a surge in population and some the greatest levels of apartment construction in the region.
