Purchased property- November 2004 2005-Planted Trees 5,000 padres& Buttes Winter 2008 and 2009 –Heavy rain. The ranch next door creek had not been maintained properly could not accommodate the amount of water and flooded subject property. Lost many trees do to water saturation on trees in lower areas. 2010, cleaned creek and fixed low places on subject property. Replanted 650 trees with new root stock for heavy ground and will accommodate higher water volumes. 2015-Heavy rain and 50-60 MPH winds blew trees over and hit others like dominos. 1,000 trees went down and again lost. Two hundred trees were leaving , Most padre 90%: Buttes 10% 2017-Frost may have played a part. Padre/ buttes are down in production in most orchards this year. All trees have been replanted with new root stock. This has been proved to be working well. Production should start picking up with new trees and producing.
