The Trust obtained planning consent in 2020 for a 3 storey extension to the Hospital to create a new entrance to the main building and provide a new public area, retail outlets, restaurants and food outlets. Hull Royal Infirmary is a Major Trauma Unit and the new units will be located in close proximity to the very busy 24/7 Emergency Department.
