Location: This property is some 25 miles west of Savannah on Highway 204, and only 19 miles to exit 94 on I95, with Pooler Ga and the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport only 15 miles away. Also, 13 miles away is the county seat of Bryan County, Pembroke, GA and 19 miles north is Richmond Hill with Fort Stewart some 33 miles away.
Description: This heavily wooded property is a retired wetland mitigation bank lying just under half a mile off of Highway 204, in a well-protected private area. A Georgia Power transmission line bisects the property, and a woodland perimeter road provides accessibility around the edge of the tract. This also provides areas for gun ranges and wildlife food plots. Some ten trails also bisect the property but are limited use areas. With the exception of about 1.7 acres located on the north end of the property, covenants from the mitigation bank protect the balance of the area and prohibit some uses.
Comments: Margin Bay Hideaway is home to various forms of wildlife including white tail deer, wild turkey, wild hogs, and some Wood Ducks in ponded areas of the property. The power transmission line provides some open space for visibility and place for stands to be located. The small acreage, 1.7 acres, unencumbered on the north end of the property is an excellent place for a camper or small cabin to be constructed.
