The former RDA owned 13 parcels located on the block bounded by Broadway Avenue, Terrace
Street, Olympia Avenue, and San Lucas Street. Currently, two of the parcels are developed. A
+3,272 square foot building is located at 1137 Broadway. The 45 year old building has been used
for personal services, including a hair studio, and is currently partially leased. The +5,299-square foot
commercial building located at 1173 Broadway is currently vacant. The former RDA
identified the need for revitalization and rehabilitation of the commercial and residential uses
within the area and the City considers this site an opportunity for economic development.
According to the General Plan Urban Design Element, the development of the Broadway Terrace
