Midtown Marketplace is a Kroger anchored shopping center located in central Madison at Browns Ferry Rd & Wall Triana Hwy with full access on both major roads and an existing traffic light. The center is in the Huntsville/Madison MSA, which is the second most populous MSA in Alabama. This MSA has grown over 8.1% since 2010 (nearly double the national average growth in the US) largely due to the positive economic environment and the fact that the Madison City School district is ranked 3rd best in Alabama. Through a traffic study we found that 65% of the trips made to this center are coming from the immediately surrounding neighborhoods. However, the center is also pulling customers from areas that would have formerly been thought to be dominated by competing grocery-anchored centers.
