Bodegas Vivanza has its origins in the late 19th century, when Doña Josefa Verdú, a passionate winegrower, produced high-quality wines on the slopes of Mount Carche. “La Alberquilla” estate covers around 220 hectares in the Sierra del Carche, between Jumilla and Pinoso, with vineyards under the Jumilla and Alicante D.O. appellations. It grows both red and white varieties such as Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Verdil, along with almond groves, olive trees, and forest land. With ideal orientation, altitude, soil, and climate, supported by modern irrigation systems and its own reservoir, the estate guarantees premium grapes that give rise to Vivanza’s high-end wines.
