The business is excellently located to use as a base to visit the many places of historic and social interest within the region. This includes Culloden Battlefield, Eilean Donan Castle to the West plus the beautiful countryside stretching from the West Coast, Cairngorm Mountains to Speyside.With its stunning views and untouched landscapes, this impressive stretch of water is 23 miles long and over 700 ft at its deepest, making it Scotland’s largest loch in terms of volume. Loch Ness is ideal for walking and hiking and is also the site for the annual Baxters Loch Ness Marathon. The city of Inverness is only 14 miles away and offers many attractions ranging from the Bronze Age Clava Cairns to Culloden Battlefield, site of the final, fateful clash of the Jacobite Risings. Inverness itself is a vibrant and growing City and with such expansion comes many opportunities in both commerce and social activities. Such growth benefits established hospitality businesses and ensures a year-round trade. From the car park entrance to the property is via double wood paneled doors which open into a reception hallway with attractive tartan carpeting throughout. The reception desk is to the right and to the left is a large and comfortable resident’s lounge with traditional fireplace and soft seating. Entry is gained from the lounge through to the bar and restaurant. The Piobrach bar has a historical feel with beamed ceilings, exposed stonework, rustic iron work chandeliers large open fire and a wooden mezzanine balcony. Dual access to the toilet facilities is granted from both this area and also from the reception. Entry to the dining room is from behind the reception desk. This room enjoys views to the garden from floor to ceiling windows and direct access to the kitchen. A short flight of stairs leads to the hallway and access to the rooms which are located in three main areas. The hotel boasts 15 ensuite double bedrooms, 2 triple en-suite bedrooms, 29 en-suite twin bedrooms and 4 en-suite family rooms. Included within these rooms are the Glenurquhart Suite and a honeymoon suite. All rooms offer hospitality trays, hairdryers and flat screen televisions. Nessieland is a single storey building set in an elevate position overlooking the village of Drumnadrochit. The internal aspects extend to around 8000ft2 / 740m2. The site is accessed from the main footpath by steps or via a ramped access. Car drivers can use the free parking to the side and rear of the Loch Ness Lodge Hotel; there is parking for up to 80 vehicles in 3 distinct areas used jointly by the hotel. On approach to Nessieland there is a large model of Nessie which is popular for visitors to have their picture taken with. An open terrace which is set to 20 bistro style tables and chairs is situated to the front of the building. Entry is via a double door leading customers into the main retail area which is fitted with wall racking, free-standing glass displays and an array of other merchandising stands. Immediately to the right is the service counter, which is ideally situated to offer an excellent level of customer service whilst being able to survey the shop. Opposite the main entrance are a set of double doors which provide entry into the Nessieland Caves where there are an excellent range of displays and models depicting the history of the legend. The displays are all well-presented and through the rear of this area is a presentation room which is set to seat 70 customers. Further along from the main retail unit is the charming café which serves a range of beverages and snacks. The café can comfortably seat 40 customers and is a welcome stop point for many visitors. The servery counter is situated to the rear of the café area with a pleasant range of snacks etc. Off the main retail area there are both ladies and gents restrooms which are presented to a high standard.
