VGP Park La Naval is a large industrial and logistics park under development on the grounds of the former La Naval shipyard in Sestao, a historic site along the banks of the Bilbao estuary. Covering an area of approximately 280,000 to 300,000 m², the project aims to transform this iconic space into a modern hub for industrial and logistics activity while preserving the heritage value of the site. In this regard, two office buildings and two historic warehouses will be preserved and rehabilitated, as they are protected structures and part of the shipyard's architectural legacy. The transformation involves extensive land preparation, selective demolition of non-protected structures, and cleaning and preparation of the area to make way for new warehouses and production spaces. With the Special Urban Plan already approved, the development can now move forward to the urbanization phase and subsequent construction, enabling the site to host companies in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, distribution, maritime activities, and other industries. The park is designed with a clear industrial focus, responding to the strong demand from companies interested in establishing operations in the area. The project also incorporates urban integration and environmental improvement criteria, with plans to create walking paths, green areas, and open spaces that better connect Sestao with the estuary. In this way, VGP Park La Naval aims not only to revitalize economic activity and generate employment but also to contribute to the urban regeneration of the municipality, combining industrial development, sustainability, and the preservation of the historical memory of the former shipyard.
