Lafaille Ranch is surrounded by the proposed Bickford Ranch community. Bickford Ranch is proposed as a community of ±1,890 homes on ±1,928 acres that was originally approved in 2001 and 2004. Bickford Ranch processed community plan revisions that were approved by the Placer County Board of Supervisors in December 2015. The revised plan includes conventional, custom and age restricted home sites. The project is planned to include two public parks (including a ±56 acre regional park), public schools and ±1,088 acres of open space. The development will also require substantial off-site road improvements, including the addition of a two-mile climbing lane along Sierra College Boulevard and a new traffic signal at Highway 193 and Sierra College Boulevard. Major improvements to the Sierra College/Interstate 80 interchange have already been completed along with the completion of two retail power centers. Within the Bickford Ranch community, Bickford Ranch Road is planned to run along the entire Lafaille upper ranch southern property line.
