These transactions include the Walgreens corporate headquarters, Kroger Net Lease Grocer Portfolio, Federal Express warehouse buildings, more than 150 bank branch facilities, Top Golf locations, Veterans Affairs/GSA facilities and mission-critical office assets. Prior to joining Newmark in 2019, Berres was a Managing Director with Jones Lang LaSalle’s Net Lease Property Group, where he assisted clients in the acquisition and disposition of single tenant investments throughout the country. Prior to his career in commercial real estate, Berres played professional golf on various professional golf mini-tours around the country, including the Gateway Tour, US Pro Golf Tour, Pepsi Tour, Dakotas Tour and Nationwide Tour. Berres is President of Young Real Estate Professionals (YREP) and an active member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association, International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), ICSC Next Generation, Urban Land Institute (ULI) and ULI Young Leaders. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance, investments and banking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Berres is active in the Orange County community, serving in various non-profit organizations, and in his church. He also enjoys competing in amateur golf tournaments, beach volleyball, surfing, and spending time with his wife, Brittany, daughter, Olivia and son Luca.
Kyle Miller, Executive Managing Director
Kyle R. Miller joined Newmark in 2018 and currently serves as an Executive Managing Director of its West Coast retail team in Los Angeles. Miller specializes in representing institutional and private clients in capital market transactions and investment sales. He has to date completed transactions with a combined value in excess of $5 billion.

Prior to Newmark, Miller worked for nine years at Savills Studley as a Senior Managing Director. In this role, he advised clients on the acquisition and disposition of retail properties, including neighborhood, community, power center and single-tenant investments.

Prior to Savills Studley, Miller served as a Vice President at Colliers International for two years. He began his career at Grubb & Ellis, now a part of Newmark, where he served as an associate director for two years.
William Bauman, Vice Chairman
Bill Bauman joined Newmark Knight Frank's Capital Markets team in January 2018 as a vice chairman in the firm's Downtown Los Angeles office, where he heads a full-service retail brokerage team specializing in retail land planning, developer consultation and investment sales. A 30-year industry veteran, Mr. Bauman has completed more than $19 billion in transactions.

Mr. Bauman has an extensive background in land acquisition and disposition programs, pre-leasing commitments, retail tenant representation, investment sales, development consulting services and overall retail market analysis. His team provides comprehensive tenant representation consultation services, including expert market and trade area analysis, competitor analysis, lease negotiation services, implementation of roll-out strategies and overall market expertise.

Recognized nationally as one of Real Estate Forum's top brokers, Mr. Bauman has represented a distinguished clientele of institutional and private owners in the execution of their real estate initiatives. He actively participates in the entire real estate process, tailoring strategies to meet the particular needs of his clients.

Prior to Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Bauman served for eight years as a vice chairman of Savills Studley's National Retail Service Group. He was the firm's top retail producer in the country for nine consecutive years and was consistently among its top overall producers nationally.

Previously, Mr. Bauman was a senior vice president, partner and manager at Colliers International, where he built the firm's full-service Retail Properties Group.
