DESCRIPTION

In 2019, ITA executed an agreement to purchase an additional 296 acres for this expansion of the Park with a large portion of the acreage on a CSX mainline. Since signing that contract, the ITA has completed preliminary geotechnical work and a Phase I ESA. In early 2020, Crown Cork and Seal became the first project to announce in Transpark Phase II as the ITA donated 44 acres to them for their new facility. Additionally, the city of Bowling Green and Warren County are issuing bonds to finance the utility and infrastructure upgrades of the newly acquired acreage. Since Crown’s announcement, the ITA has approved designs and awarded bids for over 6K feet of road construction and over 8K feet of utility infrastructure to serve the new acreage and the companies in Transpark Phase II. Including the contruction of Production Avenue and a new entrance off of Fred Madison Road. The original 700 acres of the Park have already been largely developed so starting in 2019 the ITA began buying the nearly 300 acres that it now owns as of the 2nd Phase of the Transpark’s expansion. The Transpark is one of the premier industrial parks in the State of Kentucky and is home to pillars of the local economy such as Alpla, American Howa Ky, Android, Bowling Green Metalforming, Bilstein Cold Rolled Steel, Cannon Automotive, Constellium, Crown Verity, Kight Kitchen & Design, Pan-Oston, Rhenus, Shiloh Industries, TMS Automotive, Crown Cork and Seal, Dollar General, Nova Steel, Ball Metal Beverage Container Corporation, Tyson Foods, and Envision AESC. The park also has a Goodwill Office, the headquarters for the Green River Educational Co-Op, Campus of the Southcentral Community & Technical College, and is home to the county’s two-year vocational high school.
