The new Proctorville Center facility, which began operations in January 2007, serves the higher education needs of the region and continues to provide community education and academic courses for area residents. The Center provides training and employee development for businesses and assists schools throughout the region. With declining enrollment and the current financial situation at the University, the University is exploring strategies to reduce the University’s footprint at the Proctorville Center and to strengthen workforce development opportunities.
