Maldon is a town and an extremely popular tourist destination location set within the Blackwater estuary in the county of Essex. It has an expanding population which between the Census of 2011 and 2021 grew by 7.4% with new housing attracting families and second homeowners. Maldon has excellent road connections to the surrounding area and larger neighbouring cities and towns, such as Chelmsford (10 miles west), Colchester (22 miles north-east) and Witham (6 miles north).
