• Future plans for an extended section of State Road 524
from Interstate 95 to the east have included a massive
housing development (directly across from offering site)
and a large major shopping center.
• There are currently millions of dollars in recently completed
development projects along the roughly three-mile strip
running from I-95 to the west and Clearlake Road to the
east, which include:
• Mike Erdman Toyota and Nissan dealerships on 35 acres off
I-95.
• A Flying J Travel Center on the southeast corner of SR 524
and I-95, with an attached Wendy’s and Cinnabon.
• A Wal-Mart distribution center just east of the Flying J. The
132-acre, $100 million project will feature a 460,000-squarefoot distribution facility and refrigerated warehouse.
• Redevelopment of the Shoppes of Cocoa North, at the
eastern end of SR 524, by partnership of developers Sooner
Investments and Collett, a Charlotte, North Carolina-based
development and management company.
