The site is located just to the south of Paisley, Renfrewshire in the Thornly Park area, arguably the best residential location in Paisley. The site has an area of approx. 11.33 ha (28 acres) and was previously in use as the sports facilities for the University of the West of Scotland’s Paisley Campus. Facilities on the campus included student residences (now decommissioned) an indoor sports hall, a gym and multiple outdoor sports pitches. The residences and most of the facilities are no longer utilised.
