Aakash Kumar joined Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) in July 2026. Aakash has deep experience and a particular focus in the execution of financing for limited service and select service hotels through the SBA 504 and 7(a) loan programs, as well as with banks, credit unions, CMBS, and other lenders. Kumar has the ability to leverage the MMCC’s national platform for various asset classes ranging from multifamily, industrial, retail, senior housing, and hospitality.
Prior to joining MMCC, he served as a Senior Associate with Pineapple Capital Group, where he closed several loans secured by Choice, Wyndham, Marriott, and Hilton branded properties. He also owns and operates franchised hotels in the local market. Earlier in his career, Aakash worked as a field engineer with DuPont, where he developed a strong foundation in chemical system processes.
Aakash is a graduate of North Carolina State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. He holds active real estate licenses in North Carolina and Georgia and is a lifetime member of AAHOA, the Asian American Hotel Owners Association. He also holds hospitality management certificates from Cornell University, a certification in hotel industry analytics from the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and certified hotel owner designation through AAHOA.
