Aaron Healey is a true smalltown boy at heart! He grew up in a small community in central Iowa called Victor. A community of less than 1,000 people made up of farmers, factory workers, tradesman, and all-around amazing people. Living in such a small town, you know everyone, and everyone knows you. This environment instilled an amazing sense of community in him, and this is something he will always cherish. Two things consumed his youth, sports, and the outdoors. If you could not find him on the field or the court, you could locate him in the field hunting or at the nearest body of water with a fishing pole in my hand.
After graduating high school, Aaron found his way to what would become his future forever home in Dubuque. He attended Loras College from 1997-2001. The love for community transitioned from Victor to Loras and Dubuque. The athletics continued as he played football for 5 years and Track and Field for 4 years. The passion for athletics crossed over into the classroom as he received a double major in Physical Education and Sports Management.
After college he moved back closer to his roots and worked in education for 2 years while helping his parents with their family painting business. He returned to Dubuque in 2004 to gain his Masters degree and work at Loras College. Starting out as a Track & Field graduate assistant and later transitioning to the admissions department. Admissions was his first true taste of the sales world and would provide him with invaluable experience that would help shape his real estate career.
In 2008 Aaron made the jump to real estate. Yes, you read that right, 2008. He jumped in with two feet, smack dab in the middle of one of the largest downturns in the US economy in recent history. He thinks you could time his licensing to stock market crash and housing fallout to the day. One of the best decisions he has ever made! Looking back throughout his younger life, it should have been no surprise this is where he landed. He has always loved houses, home renovation, the construction process and everything in between. Since 2008, his career has grown, and his scope has broadened. Aaron started out as primarily a residential agent focusing on the existing home marketing. Since then, he has expanded to commercial, land, development, and new construction. He has sold everything from small lots for a few thousand dollars to large commercial buildings for several million.
As Aaron’s real estate career grew, so has his family! Blessed with an amazing wife, Meggan and now four children; Grayson, Scarlett, Victoria, and Juliette. While he still loves hunting, the outdoors and sports, his family holds the top spot for his time and passion. They are one of the single motivating factors in what drives him to work hard for his clients and be the best Realtor he can possibly be.
