Mr. André McEwing, is a licensed real estate agent with 10 years of urban economic development project implementation and advocacy experience.
Mr. McEwing attended TCCD formerly Tarrant County Junior College and Morehouse College receiving a BA degree with a concentration in Banking and Finance and a Masters of Sustainability from the Universi-ty of Texas Arlington School of Urban and Public Affairs.
As a former Executive Director of Southeast Fort Worth, Inc. he provided community development advocacy, marketing, and assisted in the implementation of various sustainable economic development housing, retail, and commercial projects within southeast Fort Worth, an underserved minority com-munity. He also provided an understanding of vital economic development incentive options otoprop-erty owners that ensured the financial success of the project.
Each of these developments required an understanding of the urban demographics, retail/commercial inventory and commercial real estate voids. Each of these micro development projects valued between $1 million and $5 million transformed and eliminated environmentally contaminated areas and creat-ed new business locations that created jobs.
Mr. McEwing has used his over 15 years of corporate sales and financial management experience (Lock-heed-Martin Aeronautical Company, Pepsi Cola) while serving as the Director of Economic Development at the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce providing professional, managerial and business skills to support small minority owned business and future minority business owners.
