Bio
Robert Leong, Broker, manages all outside real estate investment sales and acquisitions, property leasing, development and marketing for Leong Properties and Venture West Properties. Robert brings over twenty years of diversified experience in the Silicon Valley real estate industry to his clients. Beginning in 1983 as a commercial real estate agent with Cunningham Associates, Robert quickly found a specialization in selling industrial land to developers for the construction of R&D and industrial buildings. Robert later moved to investment real estate sales, specializing in land and leased building sales at Saratoga Investment Company from 1988 to 1991. Notable transactions included the sale of 2 Kmart buildings in San Jose which were purchased to be redeveloped by De Anza Properties.
Robert later moved into the development field, serving as Project Manager with DeAnza Properties, a large local development company, where he was responsible for the construction management of residential land subdivisions, a four story hotel, retail and apartment mixed use projects, and a 6 building residential condominium project in San Francisco.
In 1999, Robert became Director of Real Estate at Excel Homes in Los Altos, where he was responsible for the acquisition of residential infill development projects in Cupertino, Mountain View and Los Altos. He also managed all new home marketing and sales for over 40 units of townhomes and luxury single family homes.
Throughout his career, Robert has also served the Leong family investment trust in the negotiation and sales of land and subsequent 1031 exchanges into the purchase of net leased investment properties.
