Daniel Burkons is an executive managing director of Institutional Property Advisors (IPA), a division of Marcus & Millichap. Mr. Burkons and his business partners, Michael Barron and Joshua Wintermute, oversee IPA’s Midwest Multifamily operations. Mr. Burkons is one of three original founders of Marcus & Millichap’s Cleveland Office. His leadership and specialization within the Midwest apartment market enables him to create substantial value for major private and institutional investors. Mr. Burkons joined the firm in 2003 and he and his team, Barron | Burkons | Wintermute, have sold over 50,000 units across 14 states totaling over $2.55 Billion. Mr. Burkons also specializes and has expertise in assessing value and leading national marketing campaigns selling apartment portfolios ranging from two to as many as 25 properties in multiple states, owned by multiple partnerships. Mr. Burkons utilizes the tremendous capabilities of the firm, in conjunction with his own established investor relationships, to create a comprehensive market for the multifamily properties he represents. In 2013, Mr. Burkons received Crain’s Cleveland Business Forty under 40 award and in 2012, he was inducted into the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. Mr. Burkons holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Michigan and holds the CCIM designation. Mr. Burkons is active in several professional and community organizations such as a board member of the Hebrew Free Loan Association, the Bonei Atid section of Jewish Community Housing, and the Parkinson’s Pals organization.
