Doug Brooks joined the Columbus office of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC) in October 2016. He is a First Vice President Capital Markets with MMCC and a Member of the Marcus & Millichap National Self Storage Division. Mr. Brooks is responsible for securing commercial debt financing for an array of asset classes but focuses mainly on self-storage assets. He has closed on transactions for multifamily, retail (single tenant net lease and multi-tenant), hospitality and office over the course of his career. He is well connected with national, regional and local funding sources including, but not limited to Commercial Banks, Credit Unions, CMBS lenders, Life Insurance Companies, Bridge Lenders and Agency Lenders (Fannie Mae / Freddie Mac). Mr. Brooks has more than 27 years of commercial real estate finance experience and has closed more than $2.9 Billion in loan transactions.Prior to joining MMCC, Mr. Brooks worked in Mortgage Banking and spent 20 years as a Senior Vice President - Finance with national development company, Forest City Enterprises. He is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.
