Ed Backer is a Principal at Intelica and Managing Director of Intelica Commercial Real Estate's brokerage department. In this role, he is responsible for facilitating and guiding brokerage operations to ensure company goals are met through strategic planning and company vision.
Ed specializes in a full range of commercial real estate services focused on office properties including sales, leasing, and tenant representation. He has been responsible for more than 6.5 million square feet of office transactions valued in excess of $800 million. Ed is a member of The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), which is the leading global professional office and industrial real estate association and represents today's most knowledgeable, experienced, and successful commercial real estate brokers. Prior to joining Intelica, he was a Vice President at JLL.
Ed is a graduate of Saint Louis University's Chaifetz School of Business, where he received his BS in Finance. Ed lives with his wife, Caroline, and three children in Des Peres and is a parishioner of St. Clement Parish. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his family at Billiken basketball games, golfing, gardening, or learning about St. Louis architecture.
