Bio
Jay is a member of Lennard’s Capital Markets group, and is responsible for advising Institutional, REIT's and Private sector clients on the acquisition, disposition and overall strategy of investment grade real estate. Jay also has a proven track record of advising Private Equity firms on the disposition of real estate assets through Sale Leasebacks on a global basis.
Before joining Lennard, Jay worked at another global real estate brokerage firm in their Capital Markets group, advising clients on investment grade real estate. Prior to that, Jay led the underwriting group on the National Investment Team, focusing on industrial, office, multifamily, land and retail assets.
Jay entered the industry as an appraiser with a globally recognized firm. Throughout his tenure as an Appraiser, Jay was exposed to all asset classes and developed an intricate understanding of how to value an asset through Cash Flow Modeling and a variety of other techniques. As a valued member of the team, he was involved in the appraisal of over $2 billion of assets on behalf of REIT’s, Private and Institutional clients.
Jay attended the University of Guelph and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce in their elite Real Estate program. He holds a post graduate degree in Real Estate Valuation from the University of British Columbia.
