Mr. McCahon is a Vice President at Jones Lang LaSalle. He is responsible for agency leasing, tenant representation, site selection and the disposition & acquisition of industrial and office real estate for clients throughout the Long Island, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware markets, as well as on a national basis.
Prior to joining JLL, Jim was Vice President of Acquisitions at Patriot Equities where he was responsible for overseeing the origination, underwriting, and acquisition of real estate from corporations and financial institutions. While at Patriot, he developed client relationships with Fortune 500 companies, and spearheaded one of the firm’s largest acquisitions, a partial sale-leaseback of a 1.5 million square foot industrial campus from Johnson Controls.
Prior to joining Patriot, Jim was responsible for project leasing and acquisitions with Preferred Real Estate Investments, a commercial & industrial real estate development firm. While at Preferred, he oversaw development projects and identified new acquisitions. In addition, he leased over 2 million square feet of office & industrial space, and closed over 300,000 square feet of third-party transactions.
Jim is an alumnus of West Chester University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Jim is a member of CIBS, the Tri-State Commercial Realtors Alliance, CoreNet Global, and the Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation. He is currently working towards his SIOR designation.
