John joined Southeast Venture in 2001 after a 10-year career as Director of Real Estate with several high-growth retail chains such as Rite Aid, Dollar General, and Tac Bell. Specializing in representing owners of commercial property looking to Buy, Sell and Lease. John stays abreast of all types of commercial property for sale both on-market and off-market within the Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky markets. In today’s environment of high prices and limited availability, projects often require depth of knowledge and focus to achieve the best results. John has a reputation for creative match-making and producing results when others have failed. His understanding of real estate legal issues such as easements and land is unmatched. For more than 30 years, John has been involved in the complete life cycle of commercial real estate from site selection, land planning, construction and development, to investment sales and exit strategy. Specializing in Fereestanding and Shopping Center Retail and ground-up land projects, John has represented Buyers, Sellers, Developers, Tenants, and Investors of commercial property. With this experience and an MBA from Vanderbilt, John can manage complex transactions, resolve problems, and guide commercial projects to a successful completion for his clients.
