Julian MacQueen founded Innisfree Hotels in 1985 after serving as EVP at Family Inns of America. Starting from a single property in Mobile, Alabama, he grew the company into one of the Gulf Coast’s largest independent hotel operators, managing 27 properties and $1B in assets. A University of South Alabama graduate, Julian champions a triple-bottom-line philosophy—people, planet, profit—and co-founded The Hive Foundation to support education and social equity. A passionate aviator, he completed the “Around the World in 80 Stays” journey in his HondaJet. His accolades include the Florida Hotelier Hall of Fame and multiple lifetime achievement awards.
