Justin currently leads Pounders & Associates, Inc., a full-service commercial real estate firm that provides brokerage, development, and property management services. Prior to his acquisition of the company in 2018, Justin was an associate broker working closely alongside his predecessor and the company’s founder, Gregg Pounders.
Over the past decade, Justin’s dedication and expertise have been instrumental in representing a diverse clientele, including sellers, landlords, buyers, and national, regional, and local tenants. His experience spans the entire spectrum of commercial and investment real estate, encompassing retail, office, industrial, multifamily, and land. What sets Justin apart is his unique perspective as an active developer and investor, allowing him to approach every opportunity with the insight of an owner. His proficiency extends to handling intricate transactions such as tax-deferred exchanges, sale-leasebacks, and assemblages.
In 2014, Justin achieved the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, a recognition reserved for the industry’s most adept and proficient commercial and investment real estate practitioners. His attainment of this distinction involved completing 200 hours of exhaustive graduate-level coursework, combined with assembling a qualifying portfolio of real-world commercial real estate transactions, demonstrating proficiency not only in theory, but also in practice. Justin’s CCIM certification is a testament to his exceptional expertise in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Justin’s career in real estate began in 2006, shortly after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Alabama. He embodies a commitment to excellence that has fueled his career trajectory.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Justin’s is deeply invested in public safety, with over two decades of volunteer service as a firefighter and emergency medical technician. Currently, he serves as the chairman of the Florence-Lauderdale Ambulance Service Review Committee and sits on the board of directors for the Mid-Lauderdale Volunteer Fire Department.
Justin and his wife, Heather, have two daughters and attend the Shoals campus of Church of the Highlands.
