Larry Davis serves as a managing director for SVN / Encompass Commercial Realtors in Kansas City, MO. Licensed since 1974, Davis has more than 30 years of experience brokering hundreds of transactions in the Greater Kansas City area, in addition to rural communities throughout Missouri and Kansas. Davis’ experience has been enhanced by his years of ownership and management of multifamily projects varying in size from duplexes to hundreds of units. This hands-on experience at all levels of ownership has proven to be invaluable in his role as an adviser to his clients. He has taken an active role as adviser and broker in the disposition of multifamily portfolios for non-profit organizations in the Kansas City market. Many of these required moving from subsidized to market rents. Davis has been personally involved in the rehab, re-position, and re-sale of multifamily properties throughout the region. In addition to his years of brokerage experience, he has also owned and operated an FMNA approved mortgage firm, which he eventually sold to a local bank. Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Missouri. This background has served him well in his analysis and evaluation of his client's assets. He currently sits on the Board of Equalization for Clay County. Davis and his wife have a son, who has produced four grandsons, plus a daughter who graduated from Mizzou with a double major in Journalism and Sports Management with an emphasis in Strategic Communication. Many clients have enjoyed an afternoon on the links where he is a single-digit handicap.
