Larry Kling joined Newmark Knight Frank in 2017 as a managing director with the Chicago retail team. Mr. Kling brings to his position more than 25 years of experience representing tenants and landlords in real estate transactions, particularly clients in the corporate retail and client services industry. He has led national and regional real estate teams for Bank of America, Gap Inc. and Jared/Kay Jewelers. Mr. Kling's comprehensive and strategic understanding of retail clients allows him to support both tenant representation and shopping center clients, while his experience in lease renewal and disposition adds value to the clients that he represents. Prior to Newmark Knight Frank, Mr. Kling served as a vice president with Metro Commercial Real Estate, located in Highland Park, Illinois. In this position, he represented several landlords in the Chicago market and generated lease transactions for high-profile retailers such as Athleta, Banana Republic, Culvers, Hannah Anderson, MAC, Southern Tide and Starbucks. Prior to Metro Commercial Real Estate, Mr. Kling was a vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle in Chicago, where he led the Bank of America transaction team, located in 10 Midwestern states. He also managed a staff of transaction mangers and financial analysts and collaborated directly with JLL's project team to ensure well-managed capital projects and budgets.
