Mark Mills is a seasoned commercial real estate professional and vice president at Colliers in the Des Moines market. With extensive experience across multiple asset classes, Mark specializes in landlord and tenant representation, complex brokerage assignments, and strategic market growth. He is focused on driving market expansion, fostering client relationships, and delivering exceptional brokerage services. Mark’s professional background is defined by a unique blend of real estate expertise, advanced negotiation tactics, and consultative sales experience. He has a strong foundation in relationship building, new broker development, and business planning. Before transitioning into commercial real estate in 2018, he built a successful career in insurance as a territory manager and co-owned a fast-casual restaurant in Iowa, giving him valuable insight into small business operations and the challenges faced by small business owners in his local market. Prior to joining Colliers, Mark served as senior vice president at R&R Real Estate Advisors, where he played a pivotal role in executing 140 transactions valued at $125 million over a three-year span. Throughout his career, he has worked with a diverse range of clients, including Turner Construction, Modern Companies, Home Depot, Ferguson, Covetrus, Holmes Murphy, Co-op Solutions, Massage Envy and F45 Fitness. Born and raised in Minnesota, Mark has called Iowa home for a combined fifteen years. Mark is actively involved in the local business community as a graduate of the West Des Moines Leadership Academy, a prestigious program focused on developing leadership skills in self, others, and the broader community. With a huge heart for community, Mark supports the American Heart Association through volunteer work, the Lutheran Church of Hope as an alpha host, and he is also a board member of the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Association, further demonstrating his commitment to the industry and local market.
