Bio
Matt Mitchell advises clients on sales and equity placement for commercial real estate assets, with a focus on the multi-housing sector. During his commercial real estate career, Matt has been involved in over $8 billion in transactions nationwide, spanning nearly every asset class. In addition to conventional garden-style and high-rise multifamily assets, Matt has expertise with Single-Family Rental and Build-to-Rent assets.
Matt joined Berkadia in 2021 after ten years with HFF/JLL, where he was the head of the Capital Markets team in Tampa. Prior to HFF, he was a Transactions Director at Institutional Property Advisors, and before that, he worked with the Investment Services Group at Transwestern as an Associate Director.
Matt attended Northwestern University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s in Communications, and went on to achieve his Masters in Finance and Masters in Real Estate/Construction Management at the University of Denver.
