Mr. Smith is an Executive Vice President and National Practice Lead of the National Retail Investment Group. Leading a team of dedicated retail Capital Markets professionals across Canada, Mr. Smith is responsible for maintaining the group’s market leading sales volumes and expanding capabilities to all markets and retail asset classes in the country. While taking a lead role in major transactions, Mr. Smith also oversees the group’s financial analysis, marketing, corporate reporting and integration into the larger JLL national and international platforms.
Mr. Smith has over 28 years of experience in Capital Markets in Canada. Focused exclusively on Retail Investment since 2002, Mr. Smith has brokered over 850 transactions in over 120 markets across the country. Notable clients include RioCan REIT, Fiera Investments, One REIT, BentallGreenOak, First Capital Realty, Crombie REIT, Sun Life, Salthill Capital, KingSett Capital, Cominar REIT, GWL Realty Advisors and Manulife.
