Maury Bronstein is a co-founder and partner at 1912 Ventures. He has more than 25 years of experience providing brokerage and consulting services to clients including business owners, public companies, private equity firms and their portfolio companies, family offices, lenders, and governments.
Over the past decade, Mr. Bronstein has executed over $712 million in real estate assignments for clients, encompassing the vast majority of property types and industry sectors: retail, industrial (manufacturing and distribution), office, multifamily, land, hospitality, restaurants, medical, childcare, and special purpose assets. These wide-ranging assignments include the following:
Managing acquisitions and dispositions via a traditional brokerage approach and auctions.
Representing tenants seeking properties to lease, including build-to-suits.
Providing assistance to lenders and borrowers with distressed real estate assets and loan workouts.
Establishing the financial value of geographically-dispersed assets in fast-changing markets for potential acquirers and lenders.
Overseeing various aspects of operations as a principal of a commercial real estate fund.
Leading a turnaround of an international commercial real estate firm’s brokerage division.
Serving as a trusted, strategic advisor on a high-profile legal case of first impression that was tried at the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals concerning eminent domain.

Prior to establishing 1912 Ventures, Mr. Bronstein honed his commercial real estate skills and investment management acumen at renowned firms such as Situs and Arthur D. Little. In addition to deep experience in the Texas market, he has worked with clients all over the United States and internationally. A third-generation Houstonian, Maury leverages a rich history of local relationships and market knowledge to proactively identify opportunities that best fit his clients’ needs.
