Bio
Michael Cimino is a senior investment associate of Marcus & Millichap''s National Retail Group and Net-Leased Properties Group specializing in both multi-tenant retail and single-tenant net leased assets in New York City. Michael focuses specifically on the Brooklyn market but has completed numerous transactions in Queens and Manhattan as well as several out of state.
Michael represents sellers ranging from private investors and individuals to developers and publicly traded REITs. Michael works with his clients in maximizing value prior to sale, creating a competitive bidding environment for each exclusive listing, and ultimately achieving both the highest price and the best deal terms in the most efficient timeframe. In addition to representing clients in the disposition of their Brooklyn retail assets, Michael also works on successfully executing 1031 exchanges for investors repositioning into low management assets across the country by leveraging Marcus & Millichap''s industry leading inventory of single-tenant triple-net leased properties.
In 2017, Michael earned the firm’s Sales Recognition Award for his successful execution of ten transactions worth over $50 Million dollars. In addition to this, he was awarded the Brooklyn office’s “Shooting Star” accolade.
In 2018, Michael was promoted to Senior Associate and was selected to Commercial Observer’s “30 Under 30” as a top investment sales broker in New York City.
In his four-year tenure at the firm, Michael has completed over 20 transactions worth an aggregate $150 Million dollars. Asset classes include multi-tenant retail, single-tenant net leased, mixed-use, commercial development sites, medical office, and seniors housing facilities.
Michael graduated from the Boston University School of Hospitality Administration with a focus on restaurant and hotel management. Prior to joining Marcus & Millichap, Michael worked for his family business in Boston, managing multiple hospitality venues and a portfolio of investment real estate. In his free time, Michael enjoys traveling, reading, and learning about the latest hospitality and real estate trends both at home and abroad.
