Michael Gartenberg is Director of Real Estate at Garden Commercial, where he has played a key role in the ownership, leasing, and acquisition of retail, office, and mixed-use properties for more than two decades. Based in Short Hills, New Jersey, Michael has been with Garden Commercial since 2003, overseeing transactions and portfolio growth across Northern New Jersey, Long Island, Upstate New York, and Florida.
In his role, Michael is responsible for investment sales, leasing strategy, acquisitions, and tenant relationships, and he regularly represents the firm in high-profile retail transactions, including grocery-anchored and necessity-based shopping centers. He has served as an in-house representative on major acquisitions and developments, contributing to Garden Commercial’s position as one of the nation’s largest privately held owners and operators of retail and office real estate.
Michael holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He brings a disciplined, market-driven approach to real estate strategy, combining deep financial expertise with long-standing industry relationships to drive value across Garden Commercial’s portfolio.
