Bio
J. Peter Lloyd joined the team as Chief Financial Officer in June 2023, after serving as a director since September 2022. His tenure with EQT began as our initial Secretary and Treasurer, roles he filled from September 2022 through June 2023. In addition to his work with EQT Real Estate company, Mr. Lloyd has held a position as a Managing Principal and Global Chief Financial Officer of EQT Real Estate since September 2020. In this role, his responsibilities span a wide range of functions, including accounting, tax, financial reporting, budgeting, legal affairs, operations, human resources, and asset financings for EQT Real Estate.
Before his time at EQT Real Estate, Mr. Lloyd served in two significant roles from January 2016 to August 2020. He was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for the private equity firms Milestone Partners and Peak Equity Partners. These firms collectively managed over $1.0 billion in assets, primarily focused on the financial services and technology sectors. Earlier in his career, from September 2001 to December 2015, Mr. Lloyd held the position of Partner and Chief Financial Officer at KTR Capital Partners ("KTR"). Prior to joining KTR, Mr. Lloyd served as Chief Accounting Officer for the NYSE publicly traded REIT Keystone Property Trust ("Keystone"). Before his tenure at Keystone, Mr. Lloyd served as Vice President & Controller for Morgan Stanley Asset Management, where he led a 20-person Asset Management Financial Accounting team. His professional journey began at Arthur Andersen.
Mr. Lloyd is a Certified Public Accountant and has previously held the Series 6, 27, and 63 licenses. His academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree from Villanova University. Mr. Lloyd's extensive experience in the real estate industry, combined with his in-depth knowledge of accounting and financial reporting matters, makes him a valuable member of our board of directors.
