Bio
Rob started in the property industry with a national chain in 1987 and took an immediate interest in auctioneering, eventually becoming one of the firms auctioneers. Rob joined Clive Emson Auctioneers in 2003 and oversees the firms Hampshire office, based at Whiteley and covering Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and a large chunk of Dorset, Wiltshire and Berkshire.
The infinite variety of the job in terms of both the property and people remains its big attraction and Rob has sold everything from a desk top size strip of grass verge in Ventnor, through to Solent Sea Forts, former nuclear bunkers and multi-million pound investments.
Rob is a Fellow of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers, and is also a twice past Chairman of the Portsmouth Property Association and remains a keen supporter of the PPA and the neighbouring Southampton Property Association.
Always a keen sportsman, away from work Rob is a season ticket holder with Rochdale AFC and so has a way too intimate knowledge of the service stations of the M6. In the summer, cricket takes over and Rob is an umpire on the South Coast Panel. Live shows are another favourite and particularly live music, and then there is the gym, yoga or a day at Fontwell races and the garden... Rob finds it very difficult not to be doing something!
