Steven L. Craig is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Craig Realty Group, a Newport Beach-based real estate development and management firm specializing in upscale factory outlet centers. Since founding the company in 1995, Craig has overseen its growth into a portfolio of 15 outlet centers across eight states, totaling nearly five million square feet of retail space, with additional developments planned. Craig Realty Group has delivered award-winning projects such as the Outlets at San Clemente, which opened in 2015 and is recognized for its architectural design and ocean views. Earlier milestones include the Carlsbad Company Stores, a 300,000-square-foot center completed in 1997, which set industry benchmarks for design and sales performance.
Craig’s career began in 1984 as a partner in Ginsburg Craig, where he helped develop the highly successful Desert Hills Premium Outlets in Cabazon, California. From 1993 to 1995, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Director at Chelsea Property Group (now part of Simon Property Group), contributing to projects such as Camarillo Premium Outlets. Steven's entrepreneurial vision led to establishing Craig Realty Group, which has since become a leader in the outlet center industry. Beyond retail, Craig expanded into hospitality by acquiring a majority stake in Ruby’s Diner in 2018, reflecting a diversified investment approach.
