Todd Siegel is President, U.S. Retail, based in Savills Chicago region. For over two decades, he has specialized in integrating complex retail strategies into mixed-use developments throughout North America’s urban markets, including some of the most notable high-end luxury corridors in the world. His expansive knowledge of market fundamentals and retail drivers enables him to develop and implement top-tier approaches to assist his clients with the procurement of quality tenants for the development, redevelopment, and repositioning of their retail assets. His depth of service extends to design consultation, merchandising, opinion-of-value, property evaluation, target marketing, tenant analysis/selection and complex lease negotiations. Prior to joining Savills, Todd was Senior Vice President with CBRE, Inc. where he successfully planned and implemented numerous challenging, high-profile retail and mixed-use projects, including the development or redevelopment of 730 North Michigan Avenue, 980 North Michigan Avenue, 1221 Avenue of the America’s and 200 Park Avenue (Met Life) in New York, 400 Post Street on the northwest corner of Union Square in San Francisco, Bedrock’s Hudson Anchor in downtown Detroit, Miami Central Station in Miami, and Blackstone’s $600 million retail redevelopment of the Willis Tower - Chicago. Internationally, Mr. Siegel consulted on the retail development of Santiago, Chile’s most recognizable urban mixed-use project, Territoria Apoquindo. Siegel’s career has been defined by “first to market” transactions which include 2013’s representation of Eataly’s 65,000 SF Chicago Flagship, which garnered Crain Chicago’s “most high-profile transaction of the year” recognition, and 2017’s completion of the largest Starbucks in the world–45,000 SF on North Michigan Avenue for the company’s prolific Chicago Roastery–only 1 of 4 globally at the time. Awards, Achievements and Activities Todd has received a number of awards and recognition for his accomplishments, including Crain’s Chicago Business “Retail Broker of the Year” seven times from 2013 to 2024. He has also been recognized as CBRE’s Top 25 Producer in the U.S. and Top 10 Retail Producer numerous times, spanning decades. As an industry expert, Todd has been featured in The New York Times, Crain’s Chicago Business, the Chicago Tribune and Heartland Real Estate News. He is a frequent speaker before prestigious industry groups, including the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and the Chicago Appraisal Institute (CCAI). Todd is also an active member of the community, serving as Chairman of the 2013 Greater Chicago Food Depository’s 25th Annual Real Estate Gala, an event that raised over $1,050,000 to fight local hunger.
