Tom began his professional career with Georgia-Pacific in Baltimore, MD as a lumber trader after college. He opened and managed a distribution center in Hagerstown, MD, where he remained until 1995. Tom then began working for a larger building material wholesaler with a territory in Montgomery County, MD and Northern VA.
He moved back to Pittsburgh in 2003 and started his career with Howard Hanna Commercial (now Hanna Langholz Wilson Ellis) in 2004.
Tom is a 1967 graduate from Churchill Area High School and graduated from Waynesburg College in 1971
