William S. Barroll serves as Chief Business Officer and Managing Senior Vice President of COPT Defense Properties. In this role, he is involved in leasing, asset management, and development activities across the company’s office and mission-critical property portfolio. His responsibilities have included leasing strategy, tenant engagement, portfolio positioning, and supporting growth initiatives in key defense and intelligence-focused markets.
Mr. Barroll has more than two decades of commercial real estate experience. Prior to joining COPT Defense Properties in 2006, he served as Vice President at CarrAmerica, where he focused on leasing and business development activities. Earlier in his career, he held brokerage and leasing roles at Cushman & Wakefield, specializing in landlord and tenant representation. He also served as Maryland Director for The Conservation Fund, where he worked on land acquisition initiatives and conservation-focused transactions.
