Armel Corporation is a privately held real estate developer whose head office is located in Toronto. The company's focus is the development of communities both in Ontario and elsewhere in Canada. This includes Toronto and the surrounding cities of Guelph, Barrie and Waterloo as well as Beaumont, Alberta. Since the company's founding over 60 years ago, Armel has developed large-scale master planned communities which have residential and commercial uses and are often anchored by transit stations, community centres and grocery stores. Armel has planned, zoned and/or serviced more than 20,000 single family and multi-family residential lots and has built, acquired, or developed more than two-million square feet of commercial space. In the past two years, Armel has commenced Yonge GO Village in Barrie adjacent to the South Barrie Go Station. 400 homes have been completed to date with more than 1,000 multi-family units and 35,000 square feet of retail to come.
