Boyd Watterson Asset Management is a privately held, employee-owned real estate and fixed income investment manager founded in 1928 by its predecessor firm and headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. The company manages approximately $18.2 billion in assets under management across real estate and fixed income investment portfolios through separately managed accounts and a number of funds with real estate and fixed income strategies. In May 2024, Boyd Watterson announced a strategic transaction with London-based Amber Infrastructure Group Holdings Limited to create a global diversified real estate, infrastructure, and fixed income asset management platform under a common parent company. Upon closing, the combined entity would have approximately $35.7 billion in assets under management with over 300 investment personnel, offices in eight U.S. cities and twelve countries. Brian Gevry serves as Chairman and CEO of the combined parent entity. Boyd Watterson employs 130 employees in seven offices across the U.S. The firm operates as a bespoke investment solutions provider delivering risk-adjusted returns to clients through its real estate and fixed income strategies. The company has maintained an established presence in Cleveland for nearly a century, recently relocating its headquarters to Erieview Tower on East 9th Street. Boyd Watterson has launched multiple open-ended real estate fund strategies and manages portfolios for both institutional and individual investors. Hunt Companies, an El Paso, Texas-based family-owned principal investment firm, facilitated the May 2024 transaction with Amber Infrastructure, recognizing the complementary nature of the two businesses.
