Copeland Development and Construction was incorporated in 1986 by David Copeland and his father, Jerry Copeland. Prior to that, David had grown up working closely with his father, grandfather, and uncle in a family-owned general contracting and development business. From 1988 through 1991, Copeland Development and Construction (CDCC) was a 50% partner in Copeland Development Group—an entity formed by David, his father, his uncle, and his cousin—specifically established to develop and construct HUD Turnkey Apartment Housing units in Florida. Following the passing of Jerry Copeland in 1990, David completed the ongoing projects in Florida before relocating back to the Kansas City area. Since then, CDCC has experienced consistent growth and continues to diversify its operations. Much of this success is attributed to the company's unwavering commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.
